The call
This West Columbia homeowner was planning a gazebo with an outdoor kitchen and needed a pad that would carry the structure, the appliances and the foot traffic for years.
What we did
- Laid out the pad to the gazebo's footprint, excavated and compacted a gravel base so it would not settle.
- Reinforced pour, finished level and true so the gazebo posts land square.
- Control joints cut so the slab cracks where we chose, not across the middle of the kitchen.
- Left it to cure properly before the build on top started.
